Bottletop Store Regent Street

At 84 Regent Street, this project reimagines the future of ecologically responsible construction through zero waste design, developed in a pioneering collaboration with Bottletop and AI Build for the brand's flagship store. The store's interior was printed by advanced KUKA robots using Reflow filament, a material made entirely from plastic waste, washed, shredded and extruded into an upcycled printing filament. The concept is now being developed further for other clients, from luxury hotel lobbies and fine dining restaurants to pavilions and other bespoke commercial spaces, a scalable model that shows ecological responsibility need not come at the expense of high-end aesthetics.

Plastic waste bound for the sea becomes the walls, surfaces and character of the space, a retail interior printed, in three dimensions, entirely from recycled ocean plastic, the first of its kind. The material carries the meaning: to move through the space is to be reminded, at every turn, of what the brand believes, without a word being said. First realised in east and central London and later carried to Dallas, it treats construction itself as a form of storytelling.

Bottletop was founded in 2002 by Cameron Saul and Roger Saul on the belief that people should be able to own beautiful things that also leave a beautiful impact on people and the planet, working with recycled materials and artisan communities around the world to support sustainable livelihoods. The Regent Street store's material story, walls built from the very plastic waste it seeks to prevent from reaching the ocean, gives that mission a physical, walk-through form.
